Recs if you like The Old Woman with the Knife...

Stories of the elderly misbehaving at astonishing rates! Murder, robbery, and fraud abound!

This list is typically focused on elderly protagonists that currently partake in crimes. I will consider books concerning elderly protagonists that committed crimes when they were younger and are dealing with the consequences later in life. Any and all crimes count, but preferential treatment is given to murder.

These are their stories , hilarious, emotional, heartwarming and heartbreaking, each unique...

Hope they make you feel alive!

An emerging crime fiction section. I am excited to read and see what comes next. Translated from Korean to English. Most of these are thrillers and I can’t find many murder mysteries .

The University of Rochester found that only 3 percent of books published in the US are in translation. I want to create lists of recently published (fiction) literature (2022-2025) in translation from different languages, out of curiosity. Will mostly be sourced from the university's database, which goes up to 2024, and then sourced from publishers for 2025 (won't be comprehensive for 2025). Feel free to suggest titles, from the last 5/10 years if you like them, or other languages of interest!
