Recs if you like Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake...

in progress - taking suggestions

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic / lesbian characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Books about food, either non-fiction or foodie fiction

can I get some hands? yes, please, chef 😈

do you have a crush on Alton Brown on Cutthroat Kitchen or Ayo Edebri on The Bear? maybe you just really love making food or eating a really good meal? do you make sure to lick your plate clean and finish your meal? then this is the list for you!

hopefully the chefs in these books make your mouth water 🤤

🏳️‍🌈 bisexual books for bi babes - ain't no lie, baby, bi bi bi

Romance novels where the MCs are an MF couple that is straight-presenting, but one or both is/are queer

Novels of various genres about food, drinks, or other treats!

Still refining the name, obviously. Going for M/F romance that feels non-heternormative. I want genuine emotional connection. A FMC who isn't just crabby and emotionally unavailable or "not like other girls". A MMC who is a soul-reviving study in non-toxic masculinity but also a fully formed complex human, not someone who lives only to ‘worship’ the FMC. And a HEA that isn't doubling down on gender stereotypes. Also looking for characters who live in bodies with normal human softness, not six packs. Authenticity or bust! Recommendations welcome!

Romance books with love interests that can whip up confectionery and pastries galore! 🍰🥐😋

All levels from tooth rottingly sweet 🍬🥰 to over 500 degrees heat 🔥🥵

Suggestions/ Recs are welcomed! 🧁

Reality TV books with romance

queer representation and sticky sweet recipes 🌈

Food-related books across genres (only including first book of series if all food related)

inspired by my simultaneous binge watch of old seasons of love island and survivor, alongside the current season of big brother. Romance books that take place on/around reality tv/tv sets. Bonus points given to competition reality!

*** I have not read all books on the list! Open to recommendations :)

Queer books where the protagonist is in some type of reality show. This feature everything between cute baking shows to gladiator-like death games.

Is your favorite baking show is on a break? Do you too wish you could fall in love while baking a mouthwatering dessert? Then look no further! Some of these romance novels are baking competitions and some are cooking competitions, but all involve falling in love in the kitchen.
