I've watched quite a few bookish videos on youtube and I never see Patricia McKillip mentioned, which strikes me as so sad that she no longer seems to be appreciated. Perhaps because she wrote more single books than series? So happy to see her on your list.
I'm going to be honest, I haven't read her, but when making this list for "old man"/high fantasy, I wanted to add a lot of female authors (because despite the nickname "old man" Fantasy of the list, there's so many female authors that write high fantasy that deserves attention) and I found her. I'm planning on adding more of her books once I continue to look up and research about them more!
