Outside freezes, so I want chills in my book
Horrors and thrillers set in winter (21st December to 20th March, but I will count earlier December as winter too to make things easier) or in a really cold place that reminds of wintertime.
The list will contain both more known books that you've probably already been recommended and some that I've seen have had less attention, at least over here. I have not read them all, but I want to complete this list myself too during the next Christmasses.

There's not that much horror set during the colder months but I love winter horror, great list! 🙂‍↕️

Great list! I read Dark Matter a few years ago and the setting in that was so bleak and eerie it really showed me how effective a frozen, wintry atmosphere can be in horror, but it seems almost uncommon to find one that’s set in winter. I also have a rec if you’re open to them, although it doesn’t come out until September, I read an arc of it and think it would fit perfectly - As the Snow Gathers by Mere Joyce.
