Oooh this is nice!! I wish I could recommend some but I don't have enough braincells to appreciate poetry
I TOTALLY GET IT THO!! i have rocks for brains when it comes to analyzing poetry. i don't think i can actually "get" it as deeply as the poets write them, but my heart and soul crave poetry nonetheless.
not a filipino poet but one of my favorite poetry books is: https://pagebound.co/books/982545f1-2e4a-4aa5-b9be-dc2b9208efa1 and even if some of the poems aren't for me, i think thakur's style makes it really digestible!! i'd def recommend checking it out some time if you ever feel like giving poetry a try again some day. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for the recommendation!! I'll definitely check it out. I think analyzing poetry is a different muscle you have to practice (same with analyzing novels) and I am wheezing at the tracks trying to understand the deeper meaning 😂. I totally felt the "my heart and soul crave poetry nonetheless" though! I wish I could fully lose myself in poetry and see the intention and craft behind them better.
