Books by Italian authors (or authors who have substantially lived in Italy and can write it very well) translated into English that are usually set in Italy.
Suggestions welcome ☺️🫶

The Day of the Owl (IT: Il giorno della civetta) by Leonardo Sciascia has been translated, even though I don't know how well. I liked it a lot, and it is important in the history of contemporary literature as it's the first wide-reaching novel where the mafia phenomenon is described. Thank you for this list!
oooh thank you for the recommendation!! i'll add it straight away
and no problem!! i really love italian culture and learning about them in general :>
