How did we get here??
Books to help understand and grapple with the current fall of the US into a fascist white supremacist autocratic state. How did we get here? Is anyone else seeing this? What do we do now? For those people who feel less panicky if they have an explanation for the absolutely baffling. Mostly non-fiction but with a few chillingly accurate fiction adds.

I really recommend checking out “Cults Like Us” for a really thoughtful exploration of how cult-like ideology is in the DNA of the founding of America. I also found “The Project” to be a really great read for further understanding some of the backgrounds of the authors of Project 2025 and a great general overview for the playbook they’re pretending not to follow 🫠
