(not a thing wrong with books about understanding poetry authored by men! just not what this list is about. it was, in fact, born of my surprise to find any number of books about how to write poetry authored by women, but a surprisingly small number on how to read it.)
the book I refer to in the description is How To Read Poetry Like A Professor which I will admit to you freely I have not read (the title is so officious I can't get past it)
