(not a thing wrong with books about understanding poetry authored by men! just not what this list is about. it was, in fact, born of my surprise to find any number of books about how to write poetry authored by women, but a surprisingly small number on how to read it.)
the book I refer to in the description is How To Read Poetry Like A Professor which I will admit to you freely I have not read (the title is so officious I can't get past it)
this is such a unique and fun list!! will def have to check these out because thinking back on it i’ve only read ones written by men, and i love centering women in my reading so that absolutely shan’t do. also it’s been a while in general since i’ve read something along these lines so happy for the reminder 🫶🏽
