Discworld Quest

41 novels published over 32 years. These books are unique, nothing else like them. If you love fantasy, humour, and philosophy nicely wrapped up in a bow, then you'll love these satirical nuggets. Sir Terry Pratchett has this knack of telling a witty but profound story, have you snorting laughter on a train whilst immersing you in an incredibly imaginative world, and then leave you having learnt something new and discovered something about the world, people and life that you've never considered.

I'm trying to add them in chronological order, but they can be read as standalones. Do note that some of them can be read as series, as they follow the same type of people or themes. I really recommend looking up a reading chart!

Discworld Emporium also has a quiz that will suggest which book to start with based on your answers and the Discworld subreddit has a ton of resources on reading guides, subseries info, etc.

Are these short, I used to think wheel of time was intimidating and that's only 15 books šŸ˜©

They are all standalone, so you don't have to read all of them! You could read the highest fan-rated ones (like Guards, Guards!) only, and you don't need any context for previous books. There are some tidbits from other books, but not enough to spoil a book at all. I just love the author so I've committed to the whole series, which is like a lifelong thing, but honestly you can read as many books as you need.

Very cool, going to have to read at least one! Thanks for putting this list together! Curious have you read any of the wheel of time yet?

I have not, unfortunately. I also don't really know much about it, tbh, except that Gone Girl is in the Amazon Prime tv series? Is it any good?

Haven't watched the series myself, or started the books just yet, but they're considered some of the greatest high fantasy written by many people. There is also a quest coming for them soon ā„¢ļø
