As of writing this I've only finished The Troop from this list. I can't remember many horror books that have managed to make me cry but that book certainly managed it

that book was probably the most extreme i’ve read (other than Fantasticland) that left me deeply disturbed for a long time. i forever look at worms differently. the monkey scene is engraved in my head. 😭
