Oh very interesting list and topic that i have not read about! Can you (or obvi anyone else) recommend a good starting point, where the whole picture would be presented? There's so much to choose from
Thank you for asking! The Salem Witch Museum recommends either A Storm of Witchcraft or Six Women of Salem as well regarded overviews of the topic. The primary sources are also all available digitized online, (but as court records they can be a bit dry.) For a narrative account The Witches: Salem 1692 is a good start as well.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer this! Very much appreciated
This is such a good list on such a fascinating topic and would make such an excellent side quest imo! thank you for sharing
What a kind thing to say, thank you! I love a good witch story as much as anyone, but at the same time I think it's so important that we remember that these people were innocent victims.
May I recommend the Daylight Gate by Jeanette Winterson
Thank you for the recommendation! I want to keep this list specifically to the Salem trials, but this would be a great addition to a general list of witch trials!
