Being a lover of all things romance and all things monstrous in media can only lead to one thing: a really fun romance subgenre. If you prefer your partners fanged, scaled, feathered, or something else entirely, there's something out there for all you little freaks out there. Interesting... I'd classify Ensnared as an alien romance, actually. Yes, the mmc is 'monstrous' and non-human, but it's because she's on a different planet and she's the alien and he's indigenous
True, and you could make an entire list of just alien/sci-fi romances, although I haven't read enough of those. I feel like the line between sci-fi and monster romance can be a little blurred sometimes.
I loved bull moon rising! The mix between monster and regency reminded me of "A Rivalry of Hearts" (romantasy)
