Such a cool list! I’m not sure if you’re sticking with a particular vibe, so feel free to ignore these recs, but ‘Check and Mate’ and The Wandering Inn both have chess playing a big part 🫶

I only read the first book, so maybe someone will come along and correct me, but the MC plays a lot of chess and it becomes a focus for the book for a while! Yay, excited to see your romance version of this 🤩
