Recommending Gary Lonesborough, he writes achilliean, Aboriginal (mostly YA) books. "The boy from the Mish" is his most famous one.

When it comes to New Zealand authors, I can warmly recommend Sascha Stronach and Tamsyn Muir - they are both some of my favourite authors!
