Between Earth and Sky by Rebecca Roanhorse features a blind character. I am no expert but in the from author page Rebecca Roanhorse said she consulted multiple blind people and experts on how to make this character badass and not downplay his disability.

Absolutely recommend the Godkiller trilogy! Deafness & sign language, missing limbs & prosthetics, PTSD! Kaner has woven them in beautifully!
