Oh you beat me to it, I've been waiting so patiently until there were enough titles to hit the five threshold and they all had Goodreads listings. 🤣🤣🤣 I've been wanting to make this list since I made the danmei one, it's criminal that we have so little baihe in translation. 😭
Oh and as an additional note Monogatari is gone, they're never going to release anything again afaik. They've completely disappeared of the internet so I'm assuming they've collapsed and their titles are in limbo.
Tbh given the controversies around them (there was a whole thing about them conflating China and Japan, and some other stuff) and the rumors that they were actually publishing a fantranslation that they may or may not have had the rights to, I can't say I'm sorry they're not the ones publishing it, but it's awful it means we can't get A Clear and Muddy Loss of Love or FGEP. I really hope the licenses can get worked out to make the titles available.
I've got a post floating around on Tumblr on why I decided not to pre-order these based on the specifics or why Monogatari was not good, I can dig it up if you're interested.
Oh definitely agree I'm glad monogatari won't actually be publishing anything (as much as I'm sad about the titles that leaves in limbo for now). I didn't know about their controversies but just from the way their publication dates kept getting pushed back over and over w no news had me suspicious. Not surprised they had some other BS going on...
I think I saw something recently about someone asking the FGEP author about the situation and they said they're trying to work it out?? Maybe?? I have hope esp since these titles are so popular, just a matter of how long it takes

Oooh is there one you’d recommend starting with? I’ve only ever seen one baihe but I didn’t hear much good about it.
I haven't read all of these yet but I would suggest starting with either Beauty's Blade or At The World's Mercy as those are the only two completed stories out so far! Beauty's Blade is a stand alone and World's Mercy is a duology so neither should take too long!
edit: as unforth pointed out At World's Mercy is NOT complete, I was wildly off base there

Eta: okay no I was right. Checked the Rosmei status page, At the World's Mercy will have 8 volumes, and only 2 are out. It's not complete. Yet.
