just out here trying to get my degree

All the books I've been asked to read for my English BA, but not necessarily the books I read while doing it (also i did a New Zealand literature paper so a couple of these will be a bit obscure)

same! i actually didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as i did, considering i primarily took it as just a requirement. just finished 355 (NZ literature) and enjoyed that one as well :) don’t know if it’ll be taught next sem though

Oh nice, yeah i did that as a stage 2 paper a while ago (conjoints take literally for everrrr) but i loved the assignment where we could choose our own Arthurian legend. I did The Eighth Day by Dianne K Salerni which is one of my fav kids series everr

that’s so cool! i really enjoyed seeing what people first thought of when we got that test. i did the fisher king episodes of criminal minds haha. honestly was surprised how many pieces of arthuriana that flew under my radar until i actually thought about it!

Oh fun! turns out everything is Arthurian really hahaha I remember one of my classmates did Shrek 😂 (something about how it fits an Arthurian quest style story)

I'm starting to suspect you can't get an English Literature degree without reading Sir Gawain & the Green Knight đŸ€”
