Catholic Books (and Classics) for Everyone
This is an ongoing list of great Catholic reads (of “classics” that are often recommend and just good Catholic books). I have personally read every book on this list.
And it goes without saying that a good translation of Scripture with the deuterocanonicals (the books removed by the Protestant Reformation) should top this list.
I hope this list can be helpful to someone. This list is in no particular order. Open to suggestions for additions in the comments.

A little bit about me:
Im a cradle Catholic and a reader of many books. I have a Theology MA (Catechesis and Evangelization, specifically) and am a consecrated virgin (oldest form of consecrated life for women in the Church). I’ve read a lot of books. Like a lot a lot. It was kind of hard to narrow this list but I didn’t want to make it too many but yet I wanted to include so many. 🤷🏻♀️ I’ve taught religious education to young children through adults and worked with the OCIA (previously RCIA) program many, many times. These tend to be books I recommend to adults seeking to learn more about the Church as well as Catholics just wanting to go deeper.
Anyway, for Bible translations, my go to favorite is the New Revised Standard Version 2nd Catholic Edition (often abbreviated as NRSV2CE or shorter as NRSV).
