Dude, nobody wants you to call her that 🫠

Otherwise worth-reading books where somebody (probably the MMC) has a weird, supposedly endearing nickname for somebody else (probably the FMC) that should be a way bigger ick/red flag than they're taking it as.

(Mostly some recently read books of mine so far. I’m trying to cope.)

Please cathartically submit recc’s and share said nicknames that gave you second hand embarrassment

Oh yes, A River Enchanted trying to make "My Old Menace" happen gave me the ick 🫠

Yes! It’s like. So close to being cute. But not.

As much as I love Assistant to the Villain, 'Little Tornado' makes me feel a lot of not positive things. Particularly, violent. 🫠

It's a bit more bearable since he mostly uses her last name but there is more little tornado than there should be šŸ˜ž

I feel this list with my whole heart. Humbly submitting Gothikana by RuNyx. FMC is named Corvina, which the book takes and turns into the nickname 'little crow' like bro....weak nicknaming convention but also corvina is a fish 😭

Don't know if this counts, but "alphahole" in the Crescent City series has a growing haterbase on PB 😬
