I was in high school in the late '80s-early '90s. I should go through my "Books I Read for School" shelf and see if I can remember more.
Ah, so you folks actually have a decade on me. That's totally fine! Trying to find other folks my age/ish on here. I guess it's harder to tell, and doesn't always matter, but sometimes it does, or at least helps.
Somehow never read All Quiet, and never even heard of Johnny Got His Gun (not the book/song pun). Did you read The Outsiders? I think it hit right above my age bracket, but we did watch a bit of the movie and I enjoyed it as an adult. Wait, no. Lol It was set in like the 50s, right? But came out in the 80s? Great cast! Ok i love movies and books! 😅
Edit: oh never heard of The Good Earth either. Interesting. 🤔😅
