This is my second time reading this book, and while it is mystifying, its still just as slow as I remembered from last time...
I'm both intrigued by the plot and waiting for it to pick up

If my friend told me their long ass theory about a weird house’s floor plan? Im sat. Im listening. I’m locked in.
Alextheereader finished reading and wrote a review...
I thought this would be a book talking about strange floor plans. I was not expecting to get pulled into a huge mystery BUT - I'm not complaining.
This book has been on my radar for quite some time now, and with Strange Buildings coming out, I finally picked it up.
I'm a sucker for a good mystery and this ticked all the boxes. I'm not normally a notetaker, but this was a story that made me pull out a pen and paper to keep track of my theories and what we learned.
I found it interesting how quickly Kurihara and the Author went to "murder house" and "hidden children." Like - I don't know if I would have jumped to the same conclusion, but I'm not here to yuck their yum.
The twists were so far out of left field that I can genuinely say I never saw that ending coming. I'm normally able to have the mystery solved pretty quickly, but this time I just kept having theory after theory debunked.
Also - wtf that question at the end?? Now I'm gonna be thinking about that alot.

Still a bit lost with all the names and locations being thrown at you, but the plot is picking up now. 👀

A collection of the pilot books for popular series, for those of us who love to follow a character's journey for as long as an author will let us! Some of the below series have heavily debated starting points and book read orders--in those cases the pilot was selected based on what seems to be the most popular approach.
