Fascinating from beginning to end with a thrilling ending that left a smile on my face.
I think things could have been tighter in terms of pace, and a couple places dragged a bit. But overall an enjoyable read with great prose and an intriguing portrayal of magic and Hell!
Also, Archimedes. ❤️

Pardon me while I follow everyone even minimally active in this forum...Inkheart has been my favorite book/series for about 15 years now, I must have reread it 10 times (and I'm currently doing another series reread!). It makes me really sad that it's not super well known outside of Germany, aside from the other members of the Inkworld discord server I've never met anyone else who has read it 😔 So I'm glad to see other people here who love the series as much as I do!
My question for you all: when did you first read Inkheart? Was this a childhood favorite? Or did you discover it as an adult? How have your impressions of the story changed over time?
(P.S. if you want to join us in the Inkworld discord server feel free to message me there @inkhearts and I will send the link xxx)

This book took a while to get going, and while not as thrilling as the previous installment, the last quarter of this book had me at the edge of my seat.
The first half of this book was very much setting the stage, meeting the characters where they were. And while the pacing of that was a bit slower than I would have liked, it made the impact of the events later in the novel hit way harder.
I now also understand why they chose to end the TV show adaptation here. It feels like a natural conclusion, while still having room to pick things up later if they wanted to. Though, I for one can't wait to keep reading!
