I really enjoyed this book and wow especially the worldbuilding!! The magic system was very very cool. But as always with Brandy Sandy, sometimes the romance feels a bit tame (not necessarily always a bad thing).

This was a super cozy read and felt light, whimsy and fun. Also, as a recent graduate from uni, it gave me a warm nostalgia for my research papers and thesis (never thought I'd say that so I guess I'm healing). Maybe sometimes felt a bit slowpaced.
