I was hooked from the very beginning. Since this is a novella, the pacing is quick and keeps the story moving. The plot itself was intriguing and eerie, and the prose was easy to follow. The author did a great job creating the atmosphere and setting the tone throughout.
The ending left me confused at first, but I think I pieced together what happened—and I don’t want to spoil anything. Overall, this little novella left me wanting more, and I will have to go back and read the rest of the series to see what connections and Easter eggs I might have missed.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me access to the eARC in exchange for an honest review. This novella is expected to be published on July 24, 2026.
