BAWLING!! This book was so good! The storytelling, the writing, the friendship. I enjoyed the way it was written with present day and the flashbacks of the lead up to launch. This isn’t a far fetched sci-fi either which made it all the more interesting to me, it sounds exactly like something that could be happening right now in our world. The last couple of chapters had be in tears, especially the very last paragraph!! I cannot wait to go see the movie now.

I thought this was a fun fantasy read with that classic adventure/mystery vibe. It kept me interested, and I enjoyed the overall story and where it was going.
That said, the character Flea felt very similar to Lift from The Stormlight Archive. I honestly couldn’t stop making that connection, and it did take me out of the story a bit because it felt so familiar.
I also wish there had been more explanation around what a “Silverblood Promise” actually is, it felt like a key concept that never got fully explored or explained. But overall, I still thought it was a good, enjoyable fantasy read.

I listened to this on audio, and Caitlin Davies did such a fantastic job as always!! She also narrated the first two books, and she continues to bring this world and these characters to life in the best way!
This story follows Marin and her crew, Perri the sea serpent, Ree the sailor shrub wax myrtle and really sweet love interest, Dax. Marin is the sea merchant who originally brought Terlu to Belde in Book 2, so it was really fun getting her story here. I loved the dynamic of this little crew so much, and the setting out on the sea just made everything feel even more cozy and adventurous at the same time.
I absolutely adored this book, easy five stars. It’s actually my favorite in the series so far. All three books are great, but this one hit perfectly for me! It was lighthearted and cozy, while still having those emotional moments that pull at your heart. Perri and Ree were such fun additions, and the romance was really well done. I also loved getting little glimpses of characters from the previous books along the way.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this so much and really hope Sarah Beth Durst continues writing in this world.

Unfortunately this one just wasn’t for me. I struggled with the writing style, it felt overly complex for a cozy story, and I found myself having to reread sections just to understand what was going on. Because of that, it was hard to stay engaged or fully invested in the story.
I will say, the concept is cute and the cover is what originally pulled me in. I was expecting more of a whimsical, cozy story about a witch and her cat dragon going on adventures, but it didn’t quite feel like that in execution. It leaned a bit more confusing than cozy for me.
Overall, I can see the idea here and why it might work for other readers, but it didn’t work for me.

I really enjoyed this one. It was such a cute slow burn romance, and I thought the fake dating trope was done really well. The characters felt thoughtfully developed, which made it easy to stay invested and interested.
I’ve had this sitting on my shelf for about a year, but with the recent Artemis II launch, it felt like the perfect time to finally pick it up and I’m so glad I did. The writing was great, and I’ll definitely be picking up more from Etta Easton in the future.
