“You aren’t a child, Wendy. You are a bad bitch.”

    Yeah. I hate it.

I said in my updated post that I was thinking of dnf-ing this book and I wanted to know if is it worth finishing? The prologue got me interested but everything after that falls flat. The characters themselves are meh but they’re just a little too much so early on and it kind of made it a little hard to take them seriously. I’m interested in Hook’s past but at this point it’s not entirely enough to convince me to continue reading. Help a girl out?

I like how we get to take a look in his life and the relationships he has with his peers, his outlook on dating and his struggles to form meaningful romantic connection. Most of all I like how it ended up with him actually being able to talk, open up and communicate with Violet. Communication is sexy.

I just picked this one up randomly one day and decided to give it a go because of the familiar plot I would often see in fanfictions. But once I started to read it as its separate thing, I ended up genuinely wanting them to expand and take a much deeper dive on the nuances of living in their society.
