  • Let's flip the script! What male MC are you craving??

I've made a post about our gorgeous female MC's in a novel, now what personality traits/quirks are you craving to read in a male lead of a romance novel? What do you feel has been overdone?

  • Review Imports

I totally forgot that all my previous good read reviews imported here (which is great because I like having all my reviews in one place). So I just saw a post that I was like “wow I totally relate”. Commented on said post and then realized it was mine 🫠

It’s currently Sunday but somehow it is giving Monday energy.

I'm curious: what are your favourite types of settings in what you read?

Are you excited when a book takes place somewhere you've been? Do you prefer when it is somewhere you'd like to go? Do you strictly prefer places that don't exist in our world?

    DISCUSS!

I’m reading this book for a bookclub and most people haven’t liked it so I was a bit scared before starting it but I’m loving it so far! I can’t wait to finish it!

  • If you need to choose…

I am very very very curious. If you could only read one book until the end of your life - what would it be an why?

For me it would be The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue from V.E. Schwab. I just love the lyrical writing, the emotions and warmth behind it.

What would it be for you? (I will probably be adding a lot of book to my TBR 😂🩵)

  • Barnes & Noble Membership worth it? (US based)

Just as the title of this post asks, do you think the $40 dollar yearly membership through Barnes & Noble is worth it? Open to answers and discussion from anyone tbh, have you had it? Have it currently? Also debated if it's worth it?

I'll add, I have a Kobo eReader and while I've been buying more hard copies lately I still don't love having a ton around so I don't have giant shelves or anything I'm filling (as of 14 Sep I have 7 books and 3 of those are a trilogy).

If I'm not at least getting the $40 back in benefits, I'm not sure I'm interested. So, I guess really what I want to know is how often you have to use it in order to achieve that (and ideally more)?

  • Favourite book shop and why :)

Went for a day out today and walked around a few independent book shops and found my new fav in blackwells that specialised in manga/sci fi etc. Live in the UK so waterstones is normally my favourite.

When in USA kept hunting target exclusives but never made it into a chain bookshop to know which is best. So got me thinking and wondering what people's favourite shops were and why :)
