hello pb friends! i’m hoping to know who is your favourite fictional duo? iconic pairings in which one can’t be talked about without mentioning the other.
i’m thinking of creating a list and wanted to get some input from the community. i’ll be focusing on fantasy so i’m most curious about that, but i think it would be great to hear about all the iconic duos out there in general! feel free to include what book/series they’re from and what it is about them that makes them a fave.

After ordering three more books today, I decided to stop buying books until I have read everything on my physical TBR. The only exceptions I made are borrowing library books and e-books for the seasonal readalongs. I just want to stop buying more books and "wasting" money. I have tried this before but honestly struggled to follow through because I wasn't very disciplined ("just one more book won't hurt") Mind you, I don't own a ton of books (I would guess 20 unread books) Do you have any tips? What are your experiences with book bans? Do they work for you? Or are they just not necessary? I also struggle with finishing one book, then starting the next one. I always read multiple books simultaneously... But that's a whole different struggle....

I'll admit to being a bit shallow when it comes to good prose 🫶. I love good rhythm in writing, the cadence of punctuation, and an especially good turns of phrase or two can give an otherwise mediocre book a bit of leeway, as far as I'm concerned.
Do you pay attention to prose? Do you find yourself rereading a lovely paragraph? Who are some of your favorite "prose stylists"?

People, give me a must-read for you (or just a general amazing book) try to convince me to read it based on a few words/a sentence! I am in desperate need🙏

Happy Easter Bookaholics 🐰 (Or Good Morning if you dont celebrate it ❤️)
Here is your question of the day.....
What do you think your taste in books says about you? Accurately or not, up to you 📖

For those of you who plan out your monthly reads in the Plan feature, how closely do you follow it? Do you find yourself adjusting throughout the month, or do you stick exactly to what you have listed?
I always feel like I never actually stick to my initial plan, either because library book holds come in sooner than I think, so I have to move other books later, or because I'm reading for a monthly challenge from one of of my GR groups which doesn't come out till after I've created my plan. When I decide to read something that wasn't originally on the plan, I always also update the plan so that at the end of the month, it never looks like how it started.

In January I started testing out using ebooks rather than physical books for my commute and have fallen in love with it. Physical books are still great at home, but on days when I need to drag a laptop and notebooks and lunch and who knows what else around a physical book can be one thing too many for my bag (and back). Since it's been going well, I'm looking at investing in an e-reader. I have scrolled through other club posts and noticed a lot of love for Kobo Clara and Libra as well as the Boox Palma, but I'm wondering if there are any others I should consider. My needs are:
Bonus points for anti-AI or AI free, or otherwise ethical companies. Extra bonus points for companies that work to offset their carbon footprint because lol modern technology is an environmental nightmare. I don't care overly much about bells and whistles. I am a witchy homebody who still uses DVDs, CDs, and paper maps, and prefers to leave techtime at work (when possible).
Thanks!

During Stuff Your E-Reader events, indie authors make the download of their book free or reduce the price to 0.99. Since I personally love me a good free read, I decided to share as I did for March and February already!
Some of the books are only available on amazon, but a lot of authors also offer the same in other online stores, so you don’t have to necessarily use Amazon!
🗓️ April Events:
No further date announced:
Please always consider leaving a review for the books since most of these indie authors are giving you their work for free and doing the events with the purpose of getting some publicity!
Happy reading!
