  • What got you into reading?

Did you guys read much as kids? I have personally always loved books but I have many friends who have not gotten into reading until super recently. If so what made you into a reader? As someone who has had books be apart of their life since I was a baby I’m really curious.

  • How do you think of ratings?

Taste is subjective, but the star rating system is supposed to communicate the average opinion of a book. However, the way we use the star rating system is also subjective. I’ve been wondering what other people mean when they give their ratings. So what do you think the different numbers of stars mean?

    For me: 5 = Perfect 4 = Great 3 = Good 2 = Fine 1 = Bad 0 = Terrible

I’m curious whether this is about how others think or if folks have totally different rating systems in their heads.

I don't know but I feel like the book is going really slow. I really like the writing but the plot doesn't really move forward. I'm thinking of dnf but I heard it's a good series ... I guess like every trilogy the 2nd book isn't the best ?

This book has managed to put so many of my own past feelings and worries into words. I didn't expect to feel so seen. I'm still in the early years but Williams portrays early adulthood so vividly and in so few pages. As a 21 year old about to enter my last year of uni, Stoner resonates deeply with me as a character.
