The TTMIK textbooks are perfectly...fine...sometimes a little confusing for no real reason. Especially for first time reading. I was using this book for revision so I had learned most of the lessons before but some lessons were not well written.

This book had no plot, no worldbuilding and no character's with personality...just smut with an unexplained magic system.

This is very much an aesthetic girlie's dream book for insta quotes since it's kinda the same message reworded.
But actually, sometimes you just need to hear (read) that you deserve better and to not forget your worth.

I don't believe the hype about a lot of books on Insta or TikTok but I can see why this book is so popular online.
We have a deeply flawed female lead, interesting magic and a society that is enraging and yet realistic.
Did I fully understand the magic system? No, cause I'm a dumb b**** but did I like it? Yes!
I saw someone say on Insta that they read this book in like 6 hours which doesn't seem possible because it is a little dense but in a good way - lol.

Usually I won't read books with scores like 3.50 on Goodreads cause that's actually pretty low but I feel like this book may be given a little too much hate?
I continued reading it after seeing the score after two chapters because the sequel is highly rated.
I get a lot of the complaints about the book - over explanation, etc but overall, it was a good read, with morally grey characters and interesting enough plot.

A very quick read of poems and thoughts that most girlies have after a break-up.

This is one of the those books that's just fine - you want to continue reading but at the same time are like...'why is it so long?'
Norah is not the greatest FMC - she has no memory so she has no personality for most of the book. She doesn't DO anything to improve herself. Finding more information or even just continuing her physical training.
Alexander has ZERO personality, soz guy.

This is one of those books I picked up to see if I could learn anything about my chronic overthinking, to see if there was a way to quiet my mind...but all this book teaches is to not think? But like how???
I get the main idea but the simplicity of the book is hard to ignore.

2.5 stars. A disappointing ending to a pretty good series.
One of the main downfalls for this series is that it was just too long, especially for anyone who may binge read the series.
It is nearly 1,500 pages of back and forth for what was a bit of a lackluster ending that was summed up in the last 20% of the book.
I was more than aware that we would get a happy ending for Adrian and Nova because that's what usually happens. However, Adrian and Nova's meeting when Adrian is held hostage was such a letdown - I wanted one last big fight between Nightmare and the Sentinel.
Further, there was no retribution for the Council - did Adrian's Dad continuing running it despite being corrupted by the media, etc.?
There were way to many open endings. However, the epilogue makes me think there could be a spin-off series so maybe that's why so many questions went unanswered?
