I can’t seem to get into this book like I can most books…. Was it a slow start for anyone else?

Wow there is no one like Sally Rooney to make me crave a slightly toxic, complicated relationship. Peter’s parts were hard to follow at time but that perfectly painted the picture of his mental health through the book. I also found Ivan’s anxiety to be very well encompassed through the story. The characters were all flawed which in my opinion makes them more likeable in a way. All in all, another Sally Rooney book that left me with a book hangover.

I’m enjoying the dichotomy between the two brothers so far. I thoroughly enjoyed normal people and beautiful world where are you and am really excited to dive into this book more. Her stories are never what you’re expecting and her characters are messy and sometimes obnoxious but to me that’s part of what makes her books so enjoyable.
