I really loved listening to the audiobook version. The authors narration style is easy to listen to, like your really funny friend is telling you the story. He doesn’t try to put on different voices for the characters, which is always kinda cringy to listen to. I am still questioning why these historical figures are still alive. Did they all come back at some point? Does everyone just live forever? I’m confused, but it sort of doesn’t matter. I also loved the songs at the end. This book is uplifting while shedding light on history . I learned things I never knew about Harriet Tubman. And I thought I I new a lot about her. Perfect Juneteenth/pride story.
