I love a good whodunnit and this one had me hooked from the start. I even kept reading it during a reading slump that was caused by a different book. It felt like I was solving it along with the girls even when I was trying to figure out who the killer was before them. I loved the whole perspective of it too, seeing them grow and become stronger despite how they saw themselves after what their husbands had done. I loved the reveal and the twists. It was such a fun one to read.

While I did DNF it, it was pretty far in. It was one I was enjoying but kept going back and forth from feeling like I was pushing myself to keep reading to get to Reese's chapters. I honestly think Reese was more interesting to follow and felt more real. Courtney was hard to read through. Sometimes she felt like she was written with a thesaurus, but some small moments with the kids were sweet. I found myself skimming through a lot of the text. I did like the book, but I genuinely couldn't keep pushing myself to read it. I did spoil the ending for myself to see if my theories were right, and I'm pretty happy that I was right. I do enjoy trying to guess whodunnit before the characters, and I guessed it pretty early on. I'm still going to give some of her other books a shot. But this one was a little hard to get through, mostly Courtney's chapters.
