Hello! I tried to search a bit through the PB Club but wasn’t able to find a post about this (maybe i put the wrong keywords? idk) and searching online gives me too many options 🤣 so I decided to make a post :)
As the post's title says, I'm searching for an app (I have an android tablet) for reading ebooks, as I have some ebooks I got from Project Gutenberg and a bunch of pdf articles from JStor I'd love to read. But also, it'd be nice if i could also use it to download other ebooks (even if i find a pain reading stuff on a screen for long, but could work to read book previews before buying physical copies, i guess), but not tied to kobo or kindle and the likes.
I tried in the past using an old kobo reader, but maybe because it's very old (got it in 2012 iirc) it glitches easily, and it's a pain to use. I now have an epub reader and a pdf reader plugin on Obsidian, but it's not the best solution imho, bc I can't highlight/take notes.
TL;DR does anyone have any recs for android apps (not kindle or kobo) where i can read ebooks/pdfs and also download them? Bonus points if i can highlight or similar!
Sorry if it's too wordy! Thank you in advance for the help!

How do you guys use the TBR vs Interested options to mark books? As of now, I am using them a bit interchangeably, but more often than not I just don´t use the Interested option. I was wondering if maybe someone had a good system that uses both as distinctly separated options?

As PageBound gets bigger and bigger, I start to see new names! I’d love to learn things about all those new to PB, and those I’ve seen for quite some time but want to learn more about and know where all my fellow readers are around the world!
My name is Sam (she/her) and I live in the hot state of Arizona. I’m 26 years old, and I got back into reading about 3 years ago. My favorite genre is Fantasy or Dystopian (always sapphic, hence the name😉) and I have a hard time reading books less than 250 pages because I need DETAILS!🤣 My all-time favorite book is Charon Docks at Daylight by Z. Reed, a sapphic zombie book I’ve now read multiple times over. A fun(more like funny) fact about me is a have a phobia to cotton balls. Crazy right? No, but actually everything is wrong about cotton balls. Their density, weight, the feel of them. All of it gives me the chills and I break out in a sweat if I see one.
Please don’t feel pressured to give the same info as me. Whatever you’re comfortable with! I can’t wait to meet more of you and learn more about you!🫶🏻

Growing up with a reading specialist mother, a retired librarian aunt, and cousins who semi-frequently attend author events, I've acquired a small collection of signed/personalized books over the years. Some personal highlights include:
Do you have any signed copies that you're excited about or proud of? Any signings you've attended where your interactions with the author made a memorable impact on you?
