‘Er – no, they don’t,’ said Harry. ‘They think I’m a waste of space, actually, but I’m used to –’
‘I don’t think you’re a waste of space.’
If Harry had not seen Dudley’s lips move, he might not have believed it.
I can't believe it's already over. 😭 I was hoping to spend a little longer in this world but I guess I got too excited haha.
JKR has such a magical way with words and her storytelling is unlike anything else. There is so much packed into this book and yet it felt like it went by in the blink of an eye. I love how part way through, Harry reminds himself and his friends that they're still so young. Everything they go through this book, respectfully, I could never! I feel like a lot of books make kids and teens seem way older than they are, but the golden trio does this within reason. Yes they've had to grow up quicker, but at the end of the day they're still teens just trying to figure things out.
All the tragic events and deaths hit extra hard this time. Harry seeing his loved ones in the forest felt so much more poignant. The Prince's Tale. Neville's Rebellion. Lupin's struggles and his return to Tonks. Also Kreacher definitely grew on me, he was so sweet to the golden trio in the end. There are so many other things I could touch on but then this would be a 10,000 word essay. 🫠😅
I love this book so much! I’ve absolutely LOVED rereading this series and listening to the full-cast audiobooks. If there's one thing I've learned it's that the movies are more book-accurate than I gave them credit for when I was young. Sure, a lot of stuff was left out, but I'll definitely not take them for granted in the future. Anyway, I'm deciding now not to wait another 10 years before my next reread of this series.
I so look forward to returning home again to Hogwarts in the future. ✨❤️🧙🏻🏰🦉✉️📚✨

Those dementors really did a number on him. 😅 Love to see some character development from one of the Dursleys at least!
