I am heavily invested in this story and in the subtle romance so far! I can also see the heavy inspiration from Roy and Riza from Fullmetal Alchemist. It is quite clear within all the details, but Weston and Margaret still stand well as characters on their own.

DNF at 11% I just cannot get into this. I think the grace magic is very interesting, and builds off of the fairy magic from Sleeping Beauty, as this is a retelling of that story. However, there is nothing drawing me into this at all, and the narration feels a bit bland.

This is a neat mermaid story that utilizes the myth of Atlantis in a really cool way. It is very YA, but I did love the dialogue a lot. I think the ocean puns and mermaid-based language and words might not hit for some people but it was enjoyable for me. However, the second half of the story dragged and I really wasn't expecting that, but I think it is due partially to it being YA, and I was less interested in the journey of our characters, and the gathering of all of our team. I like the concepts and the characters and even the descriptive details were lovely, but I don't feel anything enough to continue this series. If I read this as a kid I know I would have enjoyed it at the time, but it probably still wouldn't have been my favorite.

Wow, I loved this. I had just picked this up for free at an estate sale, and was not expecting much but was delighted by the illustrations, but the story itself is extremely moving and wonderful. I was so attached to these caterpillars and their journey and their relationship, and I was attached to the overall allegory that makes this children's book like story a very important one for adults too. This is about finding meaning in life, without putting others down to try to get to the "top". Good for all ages, but I would worry it would bring up some regrets if you read it further into old age and had not found something that brings you peace or contentment in life yet.
