    Manga Reccs?

I just finished reading my first manga (Blue Period) and it was amazing! I’d love some recommendations for others to try.

Open to pretty much any genres - love slice of life, love horror and witchy, not as big on sci fi and I get triggered easy by bug/insect creepy crawlies.

Also really love when it’s about someone in a niche industry or having a very specific job and then getting into the complexities of that.

Anime I like if that helps - ERASED Komi Can’t Communicate My Dress Up Darling Overlord Spice and Wolf Dan Da Dan The Summer Hikaru Died The Ancient Magus Bride Food Wars Death-note

ā€œShe stood there until something fell off the shelf inside her.ā€ It’s frustrating me that I’m personally having so much trouble understanding the character dialect bits because the prose is so gorgeous

Really beautifully written but im admittedly struggling with the sections of character dialogue

ā€œShe had glossy leaves and bursting buds and she wanted to struggle with life but it seemed to elude her. Where were the singing bees for her?ā€

I feel a little heartbroken. The tender fragility of it all really got me. I couldn’t bring myself to sympathize with Tom hardly at all. I think I’ll enjoy this much more as a play.

Hello hoomans! Here's a question for you.

If there's ONE word in the english language that you would have the ability to delete forever what would it be and why?

JUST ONE. 😁 a word you don't wanna speak or read no more!

For me it would be... moist. šŸ˜‚ ugh.

Edit: Hey guys thanks so much for answering. You guys made me smile. It also gives me a chance to find new people to follow/connect with. Hope your weekend is amaaazing

  • Genres across different media šŸŽ¬šŸ“–šŸŽ§

So I was wondering do you have any genres or type of stories where you prefer one format/media over another? I recently had the thought that while I love murder mystery stories, I actually prefer them as a movie. In a book I feel a clue either has to be pointed out by the author and you know they're drawing your attention to it or they don't mention it. In a movie things can be so much more discreet because you can show instead of tell, for example a movie doesn't have to tell you that the murderer's handwriting looks like somebody else's or that someone has a white line on their finger cause they're not wearing their wedding ring anymore. You either catch it in the frame or you don't. And the most fun for me is figuring out who did it. I'm still gonna read and enjoy the books but I always feel like I'm meta-reading them šŸ™ˆ
