I don't know why I do this to myself. I would say the problem is the genre, but if I compare it to Pucking Around, for example, it's clear that I am perfectly able to enjoy a romance novel. The first book had more interesting dynamics and characters and even the rock star family issues were enjoyable. Pucking Strong on the other hand... Everything was so obvious and bland. I knew exactly what was going to happen since the beginning and I could even excuse the predictability of the plot if at least the protagonists were good and the relationship compelling, but unfortunately that's not the case. Teddy was insufferable and his "long time crush" on Henrik felt like reheated instalove. Henrik seemed a little more complete, but his development was still lacking.

I understand it's a matter of target audiences, but I wish there were more people logging these kinds of books in pagebound 💔 rip academics and less widely known nonfiction books
Anyway, this has been a really insightful read so far! I am completely new to visual analysis and Rose's writing is super digestible. Besides, the bibliography here is so extensive and interesting, I now want to read a hundred more books

So... There are already things that I don't like lol the suspension of disbelief is heavy work, what do you mean there are NO animals? What about insects?? Fish too?? And like ... humans are animals..... What about the "cattle" people?? The only way we can abuse animals to eat the way we do is because they can't rebel. I guess there will be an explain and that it is a commentary on how we live in a system of oppresion and don't rise, but I'm already annoyed

Very excited to announce that you can now download the app on Android!! Google Play approved us this afternoon :) we're still waiting on Apple and will make a big release announcement once both platforms are available.
If you're on Android, we'd love if you give us a download and leave a review. In typical non conformist PB fashion I do find it hilarious that we are available on Android before Apple; a karmic win for all our Android baddies.
Can't wait to see what everyone thinks of the app!!

My ex showed me the Mistborn series, but we broke up just after I finished the second volume. It's been a couple of months since then and it was an amicable breakup, but I still can't bring myself to read the third book since the story reminds me so much of him. Anyone here ever had the same problem? How did you deal with it?
