  • Calling all annotators

How do you annotate? I’m keeping the question broad intentionally.

As someone currently powers through books raw, I’d love to get into annotating and would love to hear your methods.

  • Why Did You Pick Your Pagebound Avatar?

I’m curious—how did you decide on your avatar when you joined Pagebound? I originally picked the goth/emo-looking girl because her haircut was similar to mine. I almost went with the little green witch because she has such a cool vibe, but in the end, I chose my current avatar since I’m a total sucker for romance books. Don’t be surprised if I switch to the little green witch at some point, I just feel drawn to her!

I’d love to hear your stories! Did you pick your avatar because it looks like you, fits your favorite genre, or just because it’s cute?

UPDATE: ✨ Now that I’m officially a Royal, this little crown gave my pink romance-lover the extra sparkle she was missing. Obsessed! 👑💖

  • is it just for the vibes?

I have an issue with rating books. Because i can read a book and know logically that it’s a work of art. I can appreciate the value of literature and I can tell when something is amazing.

However, I am a romantasy slutty smutty kinda girl. So how am I out here rating intellectual pieces of literary genius 3 stars but my reverse harem Vampire smut 5 stars just because it made me feel giddy?

Does anybody know what i’m talking about??? Are we basing it off vibes alone? what’s everyone doing? i need help.

  • Do you picture yourself as the main character?

How do you do it? How does that impact your reading experience?

  • New Library!!

Recently a new library opened up close to me and I'm tempted to buy myself a membership card.

I have one thought keeping me from doing that however. I love annotating my books. I know a kindle is always an option as I can still annotate that way, but nothing beats holding a physical book for me.

Any advice on how I can annotate separately from the library books? I've thought about doing it online somehow where I can keep everything for the one book together, but I'm not sure how to exactly go about doing that and setting it up.

The real horror, getting stuck in your new house with strangers and, at least, one happens to be a homophobe.

I started with the Audiobook and idk why I was so lost. I listen to audiobooks all the time so idk why this one had me lost. Maybe a combination of all the character names, settings, etc… and honestly I’m embarrassed to say that the narrator’s (Simon Vance) British accent was a bit tough for me to follow. The entire narration cast is very talented, but the fact that in different scenes they have some characters voiced by other narrators, and some by Simon could be the case as well. Anyway, I ended up grabbing the ebook and now consuming it as a read-along and it’s been so much better. I’m very much enjoying the book now. Just wanted to share my experience with the audiobook.
