I don't know if it was me being unfocused while listening to this or having too high expectations after Wild Dark Shore, but I feel like the author wanted to include too many themes in this book and hence didn't really nail them. Romance, sisterhood, motherhood, abuse, politics, ecology, murder mystery... However, I really liked how she wrote Inti's condition! And, as a biology teacher and a Swede, I found the wolf debate interesting.

I sat in my car on the last 10 minutes of my lunch break, ugly sobbing, hyperventilating crying after reading the epilogue 😭

I'm not a big fan of romances, but I decided after I finish The Chain and Frankenstein, I'll try to get out of my comfort zone and read something I don't usually read so... Romances!
I'll prefer something a little deeper than just a sweet cute love story, so I'm not THAT far from my usual reads, but I'll take any recs, really!
