who tf doesnt like sundays?

How do you prefer starting a read - researching a bit about it and the author beforehand or just jumping straight in? I mostly like to go in blind - sometimes not even knowing the general scope of what the book is about, unless i know something about it from a recommendation.

Though for school, we read at least a little about the author before reading any of their work, I find that it helps contextualise and understand better.

But I guess it's different for classics authors and modern day ones, where the stories they write aren't as attached to themselves.

Hi all! I'm going to Paris next week with my partner and I'm SO excited!! I'm planning my trip now and I want to make sure to hit up a lot of bookstores while I'm there, but I don't know of any. Please drop any recommendations in the comments!!!

Also, my favorite souvenir when I travel is to buy a book set in the location or that holds cultural significance to the place I'm visiting. Usually I like to just stumble upon these in my travels, but if you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them!! Unfortunately, I don't speak much French and only read in English, if that helps to guide any recs. If there's anything I should keep an eye out for while I'm there, let me know!!!
