I typically have 4-5 books going at a time (not counting books I’m taking an extended break from) these are a mix of genres (I try to only read one book from a genre at a time to avoid confusion). I am very much a mood reader and I will never be able to wrap my head around only reading one book at a time (unless it is a VERY RARE occasion where I get so hyper focused on a book/series that I have to read the entire thing ASAP.)
Asking cause I got down to only 3 books and while I’m close to finishing all 3 I’m itching to add more to the roster. Also what is your process for picking new books to read at the same time?

So, I am currently on a reading block and I don't know how to overcome it. The books I'm currently reading besides maybe one that might be on the way to dnf, I really like them and want to finish them but I just feel like I'm brain dead and cannot comprehend anything so I don't even pick them up. After finishing work I just want to put something stupid on YouTube and be done with the day. So here I am asking for ideas on how to overcome it and to ask you for your stories on reading blocks how long did they last and what motivated you to read again.

I was wondering... 🤔 What are some of the worst movie or tv show adaptations that made your favorite books dirty?

not to spread hate, just to check if anyone is as bothered as me i enjoy lists a lot and ‘today's featured emoji’ section in particular. i noticed that several lists are there almost every day. it looks like the lists have one emoji changed daily to match the featured emoji regardless of whether or not it suits the theme of the list. as of now 4 out of 9 featured lists are like that (i’ve memorized them unfortunately) those could be awesome lists with the purpose behind them, but the situation still rubs me the wrong way. your thoughts?

It’s hard to put into words why your favourite book is your favourite book. I get asked so often as to why this book is my favourite and the most important to me. I have read books since I can remember, but none have actually touched my soul the way this one has. I see myself so heavily in Addie; a girl who just wants to live a life away from pressure and demands. The book is written as though it is poetry and I cling to every word that is within the ink and paper. Books can be magic and whilst that sound cheesy or somewhat delusional, this book is exactly that; magical. You could ask me so many times why this book has left such a raw feeling inside of me and every time I would give you a different answer.
