Hi, I want to read at least one book from all countries that are UN-acknowledged + some more.
I have already finished at least one book from Australia, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Norway, the UK and the USA. I would love to find books from other countries, too. The book doesn't need to be set in a specific country; the book needs to be written by an author from (and preferably living in) the country.
Currently, I want to read books from different countries, so I don't really count authors who have backgrounds other than where they live. For example, if a Nigerian author wrote a book, but was born in and is currently living in the USA, I would count that as a book from the USA. Most of the books I read are from the USA or UK, therefore I want to broaden my horizon (hope this makes sense).
If you have a favourite book from your country, or know of a book from another country, I would love to hear about it, but they have to be translated into English for me to be able to read them 🥰

Not that long ago I watched a movie trailer with Lili Reinhart and I couldn't remember the name of the movie. A day or so later I see this book on here and I'm thinking oh, that's for the movie trailer I just watched. Long story short these two are NOT related but the similarities.. 😳😳. The movie is called American Sweatshop.

LOOOOOOOL, I've read this book, thinking it was the one everyone was talking about (The Housemaid - Freida McFadden).
I was looking up the names of the characters, WHICH MADE NO SENSE, obviously because I looked up names of characters from another book!!! I didn't understand what people were talking about, and I didn't understand the casting for the movie adaptation (again, wrong book).
I'm so dumb 🤪

Post from the The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World forum
I listened to this back in August, and decided to listen to the audiobook again since it is part of the Winter 2026 Readalong. I enjoy this book a lot, it's a quick read (which means more people should give it a shot). The book brings up some good points and things to think about (especially for people who have never learned, or have drifted away from the idea of reciprocity and empathy). In this day and age, I think more people should think similarly, now that 'empathy' is becoming/called 'weakness'...
