I liked the first one but it’s kind of hard to really get into a book about a long distance relationship. Not that’s it’s badly done. One of my faves. It’s just not like engaging enough for me. But if thinks like the second in a trilogy it’d make a lot of sense.

    Thanks for the ARC

Maybe it's just the style, but I feel like so much cheesy gay stuff, stuff that I have very normal standards about, is so into telling and not showing. Within the first ten pages you know about the dead wife and it's simply stated like "hey i'm in a deep dark hole" (paraphrased) but here's the thing, they show that throughout the book. Like they show the wrestling, they just say the quiet part that should be done through showing out loud.

    Thanks for the ARC

I really liked the art style and the movement of the story. It fit right in my wheelhouse of style of story and content. Watercolor style art for a water story?? It was a hit for me, big dog.

Didn't really do it for me. Not that it wasn't well written and impressive, I just didn't connect with it. But I hope someone who needs it, finds this.

I didn't really enjoy this. I can't say it did much for me other than remind me that sometimes rhyming poetry isn't what I want if it's not done with purpose.

    Thanks for the ARC

I enjoyed the poems. I love a mix of contemporary and also present-ness that explodes outward. I had a good time in this place.
