“Fox is a man who smiles, and undoubtedly, this would relax you.”
For some reason, that doesn’t relax me. 😂 It kind of puts me on edge.

Hey guys! I got this book 4 days ago for the readalong, but I ended up catching a pretty bad flu. I’m honestly really sad about it because I was excited to join in, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to read and finish it before the readalong ends. Would it be cheating if I marked it as finished just to get the cute little badge and then actually read it while I’m recovering?

Ah! I see why everyone loves Istvhan. He’s making me laugh like an idiot in the halls while I wait for my next class to start. So far so good….so far so good.

“Maybe some people are just meant to be in the same story. I was so obsessed with this novel the first time I read it—which was, granted, many years ago. It IS sad but also incredibly beautiful. The characters are both deeply lovable and hate-able and human and flawed and relatable. The prose are gorgeous (and sometimes a little odd but in a way that I enjoyed). Cannot recommend this one enough.

I badly want the badge but I am STRUGGLING. For such a highly rated book I expected it to be much better! I think the characters are the biggest issue for me so far, I feel absolutely nothing towards them and none of them have a personality so far which is a shame really.

Okay…. Okay! This has been on my TBR for some time, but seeing you guys post about it in the forum has gotten me all gitty and so…. I’m finally reading it. Already I love seeing a MMC at age 37 ( I haven’t met the FMC yet so I don’t know her age, but I’m assuming she’s around his age). I officially entered the 30’s club about a month ago and although I love my books where the MC’s are in their mid twenties (or the commonly used age of 19 in fantasy books) I really love it when the characters are closer to my age bracket.
Anywho… any suggestions while reading this one? Things to look out for? Things to look forward to? Of course no straight up spoilers lol.
Also I’m only 14 pages in and I get “Stephen opened his pack and pulled out his needles and a thick ball of yarn.”Ummmm….. adorable.
