This goes out to all multilingual readers here. Do you ever switch languages when reading a series? And how do you decide which language you want to read a book in (standalone or series)? I've just thought about rereading a series I read in middle school, which I read in my native language but was originally in English. Since I read it all those years ago more books have come out. Now as I've grown I prefer to read books in English if that's the language they've been written in. I don't even think the new books have matching covers to my editions so aesthetically it wouldn't matter anyways but I can't decide if I should switch languages or not.

Well I thought I might be an exception but alas this book was BOOOOORING. Would definitely have dnfed and stop reading this series if it wasn't for the cosmere. I'll give the 2nd one a try but if it doesn't get better I'll have to let it go. Love Sanderson, but this is not it. The humor is awful. Wayne is annoying and not in a good way, as in I think Brandon wanted to make a funny annoying character but under up making an unbearable one. Wax is ok, I guess. The plot is very boring and basic too so not even that was a propellor. Let's see what book two brings to the table

I’m about 50% of the way done and while it’s a good story…it’s not my kind of book. This is a book I PERSONALLY (don’t want the red rising fans to put me on a pitchfork 😅🥹) would rather watch as a movie

I’m halfway and I know this is a 5 star read. Amazed at the story, the storytelling, the world, the characters. So so good

Really slow read for me. Not that the book is slow but life gets in the way. I'm not sure I've read a book that's written like this one, the the use of the main character as a story teller is really engaging. Probably comparable to something like Name of the Wind (although I've not read it, I think it is written in a similar story telling kind of way).

Whether it's sci-fi or fantasy, you like a big series. You love when a book says 1 of 5/10/50+. Is the reading order of the series hotly debated? Is there a wiki chart to show how the books connect? Even better. Come spend some time in these worlds.
