JoTheReader commented on daniphantom's review of Invisible ADHD: Proven Mood and Life Management for Smart Yet Scattered Women
The first half of this book describing ADHD and its common symptom presentations in women made me feel so seen, so directly called out that I kept reading relevant bits out loud to my husband. I was so excited to get to the tips and management section because no other ADHD book had made me feel like that! And then it was really just....the same shit I've seen and tried before for the most part 🤷♀️
If you're a woman new to her ADHD diagnosis this will probably be a genuinely great resource. There really are helpful things in here! It's just that for me, desperately crawling my way out of my first year postpartum with worse ADHD symptoms than ever before in my life, this wasn't the right book. I'll take a few tips away from it but it just wasn't the aha moment type book I was hoping it would be.
PS if anyone HAS written the book "so now you're a mom with ADHD and your brain is extra fucked, here's how to get it back together" please let me know!

Just because I’m nosey 🙃. Where are my PB friends located? I’m from the UK and tend to notice my feed is very quiet in the mornings and was putting it down to different time zones.

I'm thinking of finally grabbing an e-reader as I've been tossing the idea for years now but have no clue which way to go. Kindle or Kobo?
What's everyone using + what do you love and hate about the one you have. spill the tea. I wanna know what's actually worth it before I commit 🩵💫

Looking for recommendations with the same vibe as 'The Bear and the Nightingale', and 'Spinning Silver' for my December wintery reads ✨️🙌 And throw in your oddball wintery faves just for fun 😁

Just imported my goodreads library and realise there's like a solid 2 years where I DIDN'T RECORD ANYTHING. What's worse is part of this time I was a LIBRARIAN and regularly reading 3 books a week 🤣😭 Will I ever remember the titles or plots from that time? Nope. Will I see a bookcover and get random flash backs like an old lady in a historical drama? Probably. Long story short, I now vow to track all my books 🤣🙌
Anyone else have huge gaps in their book tracking?
