I’m fairly new to PB and still not very familiar with all of its functionalities, so I’m hoping someone would be able to help me out with this:
I’m bilingual (English and Polish) and learning a third language (German), so naturally I read books in all of those languages. And a thing I really like doing when updating my books and reading logs is choosing the book editions corresponding to the specific editions and languages I’m actually reading in (to the most of my ability of course).
I’ve realized, however, that some of the books I’ve read in one language are marked in the database as a completely separate book from the other language editions (the review sections are separate and in their corresponding languages as well). For example, when reading “Heart of Darkness” by J. Conrad in Polish, I would look it up using the Polish title and be able to mark it as read, but then when looking it up in English a completely different book log would pop up (even though they’re the same book). And this is especially annoying when completing quests, because only the English editions seem to count in the quests (and so even though I’ve read the book in Polish, it doesn’t count). Though, this doesn’t seem to be a problem with all books - there are others in which the different language editions are in one place.
So, is there maybe any way to connect those separate logs of the same book, so that any of them count in the quests? Because I’d rather not have to mix up the languages and editions.
