I think this book is worth, not only beacuse the plot is absolutely crazy but also one of the craziest endings I ever read and seen(I thought the movie was pretty good)

An introduction to the Classics, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

Ok so I got recommended a Subnautica (had no idea what it was) playthrough video on yt and it was soooo cool 😎 question here is, do y’all have any recs for books about deep sea creatures or the existence/exploration of many species that live at different sea levels?
I don’t mind fiction or non-fiction books!! As a kid I used to be so fascinated with the deep sea 🌊 I did get this bbc documentary book from a charity shop about different oceans and stuff so I might pick it up again but wondering about how known the deep sea genre is in general 🫣

Hi! I’m new to this app so idk if someone’s made this a quest or challenge already but a goal of mine is to read at least one book from a different country whenever I get the chance.
It’s such a good opportunity to explore different genres, writing styles and to achieve diversity in what I read 🫣
So far I’ve done these countries:
If you guys have any suggestions pls let me know i really want to expand my currently lonely collection of 2 countries lol 😛

hi!! this is my first post in this lovely lovely community, so Imk if this type of post is not okay. i really want to follow some people, but most of the people i get recommended to follow read a lot of books from genres i don't particularly enjoy. so i wondered if i might have better luck w a community post❣️ i don't think it's necessary to specify yet what i don't enjoy, as i don't wanna be negative, bc i can always be proven wrong😌 so here’s what i do like:
💭 i really enjoy literary fiction, especially the russian classics. i also like norwegian literature (both classic and contemporary). i'm also VERY interested in reading more non-western classics and litfic in general. when it comes to «easier» reads (to me, at least), i love japanese and korean «healing fiction».
anyone who shares similar interests and read a lot of books within these categories?? would love to give u a follow💗

Do you think theres a underlying correlation between someones fav movies and books? In my case my fav books are The idiot,The Count of Monte Cristo,Martin Eden and Beware of Pity while my top four movies are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,Dead Poets Society,Brokeback Mountain and Moonlight. Can you guys see any common part between them? And also what are your fav movies and books?

personally, i picked mostly childhood favourites because they felt like a safe choice!
how did you guys pick? are they the books that emotionally scarred you the most? the ones you find most relatable? or just your absolute favourite, nothing deeper ✨
i’d love to know!

I always considered this book my favourite and have reread it many times. Even after the painful experience of writing a 4000 word essay on it, I still adore it. I can definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a bleak but still humourous tale that is full of spirit. It can be quite difficult to mull over to a satisfying conclusion/point but is extremely rewarding as I have found new easter eggs every single time.

This hits me right in the gut as someone doing an English and History joint honours degree as I love learning so much I couldn’t even pick one subject. My heart absolutely breaks for Lila and I doubt I will ever be able to shake off the fact that this has happened to so many women as I continue studying.
I’m gonna become a professor just over this I swear. Justice for Lila.
