I was talking to a friend today and recommended a book to her and she told me she really doesnât like to read series that much. Her answer was basically because itâs just too much for her. Whereas Iâm the opposite. I LOVE getting hooked into a series and following the same story and characters thru multiple books.
Which one are you? And why? I would especially love to hear if thereâs any others out there who also avoid series but obviously I also love to hear why people love series of books like I do lol

Listen, I have a confession to make:
I had to start listening to audiobooks of the classics because it was so hard for me to understand the tone in which they were talking to, because they all sound passive-aggressive (and they were, let's be honest, lmao).
Does anybody else have this issue? For example: I would've jumped Caroline Bingley if she spoke to me like that in modern times ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ

Reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte right now on my e-reader while having SparkNotes chapter summaries on my phone. đ But I'm so glad to finally get into the classics which I have been avoiding for so long. And finishing each chapter feels like a celebration especially with English not being my first language and the lyrical (and challenging) way Emily Bronte writes. Got up to Chapter 6 before finally being done for the day. đ

Ok, so for my birthday the other day I got the Kobo Libra and I freaking love it. I didnât think color mattered that much to me, but I love that aspect. I also compared it to my nook, and the size is a tad bigger, plus the extra room on the side makes it so I donât keep accidentally tapping to the next page. Itâs a ton easier to highlight as well.
It also made sense for me to get the kobo when I have the subscription to it (similar to kindle unlimited).
And I didnât know there was a feature to help connect to Libby???
I donât know - Iâm just in love with it â€ïž just wanted to gush for a sec.

âIndeed, Iâm as common as the lily and the rose, the sunflower and the daffodil. A perfect flower, the botanists call these specimens that contain both male and female. They call them perfect, complete. Thatâs how I feelâ

âOf all the colors, I loved most the release of blue lapis. I loved the effort it took. I loved that when achieved, it was a stable hue, constant. But first of all, I loved that blue began with a great tale in a faraway mountainous land I could hardly fathomâ THE WRITING IS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL

I'm new here so deal bear with me.
If you see my DNFs having reviews I just wanted to give a reason. I swear I'm not a hater, stay tuned for all my further yapping on books I love (there are a lot)

Have you ever downvoted a post or comment ? I'm curious to see because if I don't like something I will just not upvote it, but I guess if it were really problematic maybe I would downvote...? Anyway, I'm mostly curious to see, what happens, does the user receive a notification like for upvotes ? Do we lose points ? Is the post just almost never shown because it's less liked ?
I guess my conclusion is : would you downvote this please so I can see ? Thanks đ Also tell me what you think about downvoting please
[Answer] : no notifications, no point lost, no points gained. A bit anti-climactic, but I think I did not really expect anything else đ

I have been using bookish apps for a while now. Storygraph and then Fableâ I thought that was the best that could ever happen in the world of bookish tracking/app. The experience has however always been very individual for me rather than communal. I update my goals , read at my pace, jot down my thoughts and underline my quotes, done. Partly because not many of my irl friends are consistent readers I never found a community to discuss nuances with nor had the urge to post on the other apps much. And, I never knew WHAT I WAS MISSING. Pagebound has completely transformed this, I post my bookish thoughts now and even if nobody sees it it just makes my day better knowing it's out there hanging around in this colourful space. Beautiful â€ïž
P. S : THE LONG COMMENTS and DISCUSSIONS ARE GIVING MY BRAIN LIFE AND ENERGY.

I'm feeling a bit under the weather so i just started reading and I've got a question for all of you. What is everyone's comfort book?? Like the book that you can reread an uncountable amount of times and still love it with your whole heart? The one where you know the whole plot but just find comfort with the characters and the world? Or maybe you don't reread this book but think about when you're sad? Or you don't have a book like this? If so, why?
